A sociopolitical organization in Osun state, Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF), has congratulated the immediate past Governor of Osun state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on his nomination as a Minister In President Muhammadu Buhari cabinet
AGF in a statement signed by its Coordinator, Comrade Tijani Sikiru and Secretary, Yahaya Adeniji, and made available to newsmen, on Tuesday, in Osogbo commended President Muhammad Buhari for nominating Aregbesola as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Describing Aregbesola’s appointment as a well deserved, AGF said the former Osun Governor nomination as a minister was the reward of good work.
The group expressed optimism that Aregbesola would use his wealth of experience to contribute meaningfully into the next level agenda of President Mohammed Buhari led government.
According to AGF, Aregbesola gigantic and unprecedented achievements within the space of eight years while he was serving as governor is part of the reasons considered by President Buhari to nominate him in his next level cabinet.
“We members of AGF in Osun state wish to congratulate our indefatigable leader , Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on his nomination as a minister to serve in President Muhammed Buhari’s next level cabinet.
“His appointment is a well deserved one , going by his gigantic and unprecedented achievements within the short period of eight years in the area of infrastructure, education, social security and empowerment of youths among others while he was the governor of Osun state”.
“We are very sure that our Oga will also use his wealth of experience as governor and as one time commissioner for works in Lagos state, there is no doubt he would make him to deliver beyond expectations”
“On behalf of all progressive minded youths in Osun, we members of AGF appreciate President Muhammad Buhari for giving Ogbeni Aregbesola opportunity to serve the country.” The group said.
AGF therefore wished Aregbesola a successful tenure of office just as it vowed to support the APC government in the overall interest of the people of the country.
