A lawmaker representing Iwo State Constituency at the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon Uzamot Halil Adebayo, has congratulated former Governor Rauf Aregbesola on his appointment as Minister of Interior of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Adebayo popularly known as Dodo in a congratulatory message he personally signed and made available to newsmen, in Osogbo described the immediate past Governor of Osun as a phenomena.
He noted that Aregbesola’s appointment as minister of interior is based on merit, hard work and loyalty, saying the development Aregbesola had brought to Osun would continue to linger in the mind of people of the state.
He noted that Aregbesola’s achievements, especially in the area of good governance, which have been very impactful on the lives of the people in the state, would be replicated at the national level.
According to Adebayo, “Aregbesola is a technocrats, achievers and loyal member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Aregbesola going the level of his intelligence has all it takes to assist the President to achieve his second-term goals.
“I am convinced that former Governor Aregbesola outstanding performance while he was the Governor of Osun and Commissioner for Works in Lagos state and his contributions to the overall success would definitely perform tremendously well as minister
“I am also acknowledge that Ogbeni has a good pedigree in his own right and have excelled in the public sectors, coupled with the role he played in the process that led to the re-election of the President.
He further said that, by transforming the state to the admiration of majority of the populace, Aregbesola has written his name in the sand of time, adding that his name will never be forgotten whenever the history of the transformation of Osun is written.
He therefore pray to God to give him divine wisdom to discharge his duties marvellously .
