The Nigeria Police, Plateau State Command said it would reopen its 2019 General Elections Joint Operation Room on Friday, February 22, 2019 by 1800hrs to the general public.
The Command also released the 2019 General Elections Joint Operation Room Hotline which includes, 08181840461 and 09024453126.
This was revealed in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Tyopev Matthias Terna a copy which was sent to CityMirrorNews.
Tyopev also included phoned numbers of the DIG Zone 4, the Commissioner of Police in the state, DC ‘A’, DC OPS, AC OPS, AC CIID, AC ‘A’, Area Commanders, DPOs of all Police divisions, CSP ‘A’, OC F-SARS, PPRO SHQ and 2019 General Elections Joint Operation Room Hotline situated at the Police headquarters in the state.
The statement reads in part: “The Plateau State Police Command, Jos wish to inform the general public that the Command has earlier on launched the 2019 General Elections Joint Operation Room with the following numbers; 08181840461 and 09024453126.
The Operation Room shall be re-opened on 22/02/2019 at the Police Command Headquarters by 1800hrs for members of the public to call and report any negative issue noticed during the elections.
“Attached is the list of all the Senior Officers of the Command and the Divisional Police Officers to be contacted whenever a caller is unable to get to the Joint Operations Room.”
Meanwhile, the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Elections Security (ICCES) engaged in Joint Security and Law enforcement agencies Show of Force in Jos metropolis today.
The Joint Security and Law enforcement agencies Show of Force take off at the Police Command Headquarters in Jos by 7am.
The long convoy saw the agents moving through Rukuba road, Satellite Market, Faringada, Utan, Bauchi Road and Angwa Rukuba area.
Other areas passed were British America, Maraba Jamaa Road, Miango Road and Tudun Wada area among others. The Show of Force terminated at the Police Force Headquarters in Jos.
The Show of Force is often carried out to scare hoodlums and potential criminals away and to show the readiness of the security agencies to combat any security threat.
