Buahri Anti Corruption Crusade Best Means To Repositioning The Country- Comrade Adeniran

President Muhammad Buhari anti corruption crusade has been identified as best means of repositioning the country for economic development.

The executive chairman Centre for Anti Corruption and Open Leadership, Comrade Debo Adeniran stated this in Osogbo at a capacity building workshop for anti corruption crusaders at the grassroot level.

It was a forum to discuss the implications of corruption on economic social and political development of the country.

The forum afforded activists opportunity to discuss educate people on the danger inherent in corruption and the best way to curb the menace.

Speaking on the theme curbing corruption in Nigeria political processes establishing a grassroot paradigm in good governance Accountability and transparency, the executive chairman centre for anti corruption and open leadership, Mr Debo Adeniran charged Nigerians to always hold political leaders into account.

Mr Adeniran called on Nigerians to develop right attitude towards the fight against corruption and see the fight as collective responsibility.

He hinted that president Muhammad Buhari anti corruption fight has recorded significant achievements in the area of corruption hence the need to sustain the tempo.

On his part, the coordinator Democracy vanguard ,Mr Adeola Sowetan who identified democracy as best form of government that could fastrack development hinged the nation’s woe to corruption.

Sowetan urged Nigerians to always ask questions on the management of their resources and put their leaders on their toes to forestall high rate of corruption in the country.

Speaking, the coordinator of centre for Anti Corruption and Open Leadership in Osun state,Mr Rufus Oyatoro advocated stiff punishment for corrupt officials to stern the tide.

Oyatoro said the centre would continue to create awareness on the danger embedded in corruption and its adherent effects on national growth.

Some participants at the workshop said the training would go a long way to enhance their knowledge on the best way to control corruption.
