The National Chairman of the Door-to-Door Campaign of All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign, Hon Bola Ilori has reassured the people of South Western Nigeria of a greater Nigeria, if President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice, Prof Yemi Osinbajo are reelected as President and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria respectively in the rescheduled presidential and national assembly elections slated for this Saturday, 24th of February, 2019.

Hon Ilori gave this reassurance while addressing Oluode and Igbonna markets men and women area of Osogbo, Osun state capital.

while leading Osun APC Field operations canvassers to different major towns of Osun on Monday, 18th February, 2019 in furtherance of door-to-door, and market -to-market mobilization strategy of the Field Operations Directorate of APC Presidential Campaign Council led by Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

Ilori said, “God used Moses to take Israelites from Egypt, led them to the wilderness. Some people complained about hardship in the wilderness and made another God to lead them back to Egypt, thereby unwittingly turned a journey of 40 days to 40yrs.

“Eventually Moses led them out of the wilderness and handed them over to a Joshua that led them to the promise land. Its clear that Nigeria has left PDP’s Egypt through Moses Buhari, but currently in a wilderness and the Moses is laying a solid foundation for a Joshua to get Nigerians to the promise land. The Next Level is not to go back to Egypt but to move to the promise land”

The Ex-Osun Commissioner for Regional Integration who rolled different achievement of APC led federal government ranging from huge infrastructural development, social investment programmes and far reaching reforms in other areas of the economy appealed to the people to cast their ballot for the party that centered its policies towards a better tomorrow.

He further assured the people that if President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo are reelected on Saturday, Nigerians would enjoy more of the numerous social investment programmes their administration has embarked upon since inception.

On the order of the President against ballot box snatching, Ilori said the order is to check against the perpetration of extra judicial killing during election.

“many people are regularly been killed in each electoral circle by people attempting to snatch ballot boxes, I remember the death Ayo Kemba in Igbajo Osun that was killed for trying to prevent ballot box snatching, so the president has given an order to forestall recurrence of such in accordance with section 33:2(a-c) of the Nigeria 1999 constitution as amended. We must all join hand to condemn extra judicial killings in Nigeria by election manipulators” He however called on the security agents to only be ruthless on armed snatchers, while others should still be arrested and dealt with appropriately.

The National Chairman of APC Door to Door Campaign however used the opportunity to bear his mind on the unfortunate postponement of the election at some few hours to the commencement of the poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), citing logistics and other untenable excuses, he described the move as wickedness after his party has mobilized all their members for the election.

In his words, Hon Ilori said “we won’t have been pained or distraught, if there was no information that INEC has pre-informed the opposition party about the postponement days before the electoral body took the decision”.

“But after a thorough assessment and surrounding circumstances of the rescheduled election, we have seen various conspiracies against our party by some vested interest within and outside, INEC.

It would be recalled that about some weeks ago, the Directorate of Field Operations of APC Presidential Campaign Council activated party members across the federation who are canvassing and persuading electorates to vote for APC candidates in the general elections.
