Ondo 2020: Group Seeks Support for Akeredolu Second Term Bid

Ahead of the 2020 Ondo state governorship election, the ‘Coalition Of Like Minds’ group, has urged the people of the state to support Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his second term bid, saying he has performed very well.

Chairman of the group, Chief Igbekele Akinrinwa made the call when he led the group from the Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency of Ondo to pay Sallah homage to the All Progressive Congress Chairman in the state, Engr. Ade Adetimehin at his residence on Tuesday in Akure.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Chief Akinrinwa commended the governor’s achievements for the past two years in his first term, stressing the need for the people to rally round him for his re-election for a second term.

He therefore, appealed to the people to rally round the governor for his second term bid, stressing that he deserved to be reelected.

Similarly, the Irele local government area APC chairman, Chief Zackariah Omoge said the aims and objectives of the ‘Coalition of Like Minds’ group is to contribute its quota positively to the progress of APC in the state viz a viz brainstorm as well as galvanizing results oriented ideals for onward transmission of suggestions to leaders for consideration and probable implementation.

While commending the spirit of leadership displayed by the state executive body of APC under Engr. Adetimehin, during the periods of proceedings in Ondo state election petition tribunals sitting which the party candidate for House of Representatives, Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency, Hon. Albert Akintoye, a member of the coalition was declared winner in a unanimous judgement by the tribunal judges, Secretary of the group, Mr. Sola Ebire said the group shall continuously look forward to the usual rekindling of the support which APC leaders gave to Hon. Akintoye right from inception.

“The group seize this opportunity to pledge our loyalty and dedication to His Excellency, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and our party leaders in Ondo state”, Ebire said.
