Former Commissioner for Social Protection, Sports and Special Needs in Osun State, Comrade Biyi Odunlade has congratulated Senator Babajide Omoworare on his appointment as Senior Special Assistant, National Assembly Matters to President Muhammadu Buhari.
In his congratulatory message signed and issued by his media aide, Matthew Afolabi, Odunlade described the appointment as a great development to the party and Osun people.
He stated that the appointment is putting a square peg in a square hole given Omoworare’s experience in the legislative arm of government.
He said, “Omoworare was a two-term House of Assembly member in Lagos state where he rose to the position of the Leader of the House between 1999 and 2007 and his experience as a two-term Senator representing Osun East in the 7th and 8th Senate.
“This vast experience will help in maintaining a good relationship between the executive especially, the Presidency and the National Assembly”.
The former Commissioner said that the “National Assembly is key to delivering the Next Level agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari.”
He thanked President Muhamamdu Buhari for finding the son of the State of Osun worthy to serve in that capacity saying that, “it is another fulfillment of the President’s promise to appoint only those he knows personally especially, core All Progressives Congress, APC, members.”
“I am confident, Omoworare will deliver for the President. As a party, we can not afford to have a strained relationship with the National Assembly as it was in the 8th National Assembly.” He stated.
