Baptist Youths Gets New President, Other Leaders

Pastor Onajite Enunuaye has emerged the new National President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference, NBCYC, according to the nomination committee report read by the National Secretary of the body, Bro. Sheyi Adegbola on behalf of the committee’s Chairman, Sister Ochoko Ojieh.

Onajite is the outgoing Prayer Coordinator of the Conference.

According to the report, Funmi Adelakun will serve as the Vice President I while Amos Yakubu will be Vice President II. Job B. Emmanuel who is the outgoing Recording Secretary is coming in as the new National Secretary while Endurance Efeogho will replace him as the Recording Secretary.

Other new national officers include the Treasurer, Johnson Oyebanji; Financial Secretary, Patrick Wabara; Auditor, Nehemiah Maram; Investment/Strategy, Joshua Namanze; and Project Development, Ebenezer Adeyinka.


NBCYC new leaders

The new Publication Chairman is Caleb Michael while Alpha Auta J will replace the new President as the Prayer Coordinator. Abiodun Famoye is the new Mission and Evangelism Chairman; Yakubu Musa new Welfare Officer I (Male) while Adeboye Adeola shall assist him as Welfare Officer II (Female). The new image maker of the body is Jessy Amadi who is the new Public Relations Officer.

All new executive committee members were called out for approval by the delegates at the 47th Annual Conference of the Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference held at the Deeper Life Camp, Maraban Rido, Kaduna in Kaduna state.

In his acceptance speech, the new President, Onajite said that his regime would lead the conference with the acronym he tagged as the PFN which means Pious, Fellowship and Networking (PFN). He stated further that he would unveil his 14 points agenda and make it available to all members. The Director of Youth and Student Ministry, Nigerian Baptist Convention, NBC, Rev. S.A.K Olaleye charged the new executive members to be Christ-like in handling the affairs of the body and prayed for them.
