A notable Nigerian and business mogul, Sir Keshinton Adebutu has charged Nigerian youths on the need to be innovative and creative rather than depending on white collar jobs.

Adebutu who frowned at the level of laziness among Nigerian youths criticized the attitude of some Nigerian youths , saying they were only hustling to get on the gravy train.

He said most of the youths are not ready to work , adding that majority of them preferred looking for while collar jobs instead of being creative and innovative.

The frontline gaming magnate gave the advice while fielding questions from journalists in Lagos as part of activities heralding his coronation ceremony as Odole Oodua, billed to hold on October 19, at Ile Oodua, Ooni’s palace , Ile-Ife, Osun state.

According to Adebutu , “children of nowadays are not ready to craw before they walk. The Nigerian youths instead of developing themselves, be creative and innovative, majority of them rather depend of white collar job.

He urged the parents to always guard and advice their children on the need to desist from any act capable of tarnishing their image.

Speaking on his new title , the Ogun state born business mogul said he was prepared for his new traditional title, saying the importance of it transcends other chieftaincy tittles.

Adebututu who was flanked by the Chairman of the chieftaincy planning committee, Aare Kola Oyefeso , Comrade Moses Olafare, the Ooni’s Director of Media and Public Affairs and a Cultural Ambassador to Ooni of Ife, Ms Asabi Morounranti said that as a natural peacemaker and promoter of the progress and cultural values of Yoruba that he has always been, this new sacred responsibility will spur him to work more with the Yoruba kings for the benefit of the oldest tribe in the world.

He hinted that he may not accept any traditional title after his coronation as the Odole Oodua by the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

He further explained that “the importance of the exalted Odole Oodua title is beyond taking another chieftaincy title in order of things in Yoruba land.

Recall that the House of Oduduwa under the leadership of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi, earlier announced that the prestigious chieftaincy title of Odole Oodua will be conferred on Adebutu also known as Dodondawa and Baba Ijebu on October 19 at the Ile-Oodua, the Ooni’s palace, Ile-Ife.

This will be the first of such conferments by Oba Ogunwusi since his ascension of the throne as the 51st Ooni in the third dynasty of Ife about four years ago.

The Odole is a special office which works closely with the Ooni in rallying the descendants of Oduduwa wherever they are in the world for unity, peace and progress of the race. The Odole Oodua, a position once occupied by the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and subsequently by Chief G.O.K Ajayi is a highly revered chieftaincy in Yorubaland pioneered by the great Oranmiyan while he was still a prince of Ife.
