O’Ambulance Paramedics Take Delivery Of Another Bouncing Baby

The Osun State Ambulance Services Agents at Abere unit on Tuesday June 4th, 2019, Eid-Il-Filtr day took delivery of a baby from a pregnant woman named Mrs Rita Olowosoke who was on a prayer watch in a white garment church around the area.

The woman suddenly fell into labour when she went to the toilet to defecate at the church premises, she had earlier complained of mild abdominal discomfort, she shouted for help and an elderly woman in the church ran to call the O’Ambulance agents located strategically around the area, with prompt response of the Paramedics, the woman was delivered of a live healthy baby girl at 12:45pm, mother and baby were clinically stable.

Mrs Olowosoke who was ecstatic and grateful to the O’Ambulance personnel said she was a month overdue according to her Expected Delivery Date (EDD) from her Ultrasound Scan, she however give Glory to God and appreciated the government of Osun for promoting this free medical emergency services scheme for the benefit of the people of the state.

When contacted the General Manager of Osun Ambulance Services Agency, Dr Olusegun Babatunde said the development is a product of the ongoing restructuring activities and training in the agency for more efficient service delivery, he repeated that his target is to offer standard medical emergency services to the people of the state and reduce response time to maximum of five minutes.

He also appreciated the state Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola for his unflinching commitment to the agency.

The General Manager further appreciated his Chief Nursing Officer, Mrs Rashidat Alao and the Abeere unit staff that took the delivery, he also encouraged the mother of the baby to make sure that she present herself and the baby at a standard hospital for post natal care and proper immunization for the baby.
