1441AH/2019 Jihad Week: OAU MSSN Donates Food Items To Orphanage Home In Osun

The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife Branch has called on well meaning Nigerians to turn to providing aid for the less privileged to make the society better.

The Muslim Students in OAU made the call while Donating food items and household materials to FOMWAN Orphanage Home in Osogbo on Monday as part of their activities to mark 1441AH/2019 Jihad Week.

Speaking, the chairman, Jihad week committee Mr Owoade Monsur said that MSSN under the leadership of Qamoru Sodeeq found it necessary to donate items worth thousands of naira to complement the effort of FOMWAN and government to make things easy for the needy in the society.

Monsur urged Muslims to visit hospitals, Orphanages and show love to the people there to make them happy and feel among in the society.

He said “the prophet Muhammad (SAW) told to us to spread our hand of giving to other people especially the less privileged in the community and expect reward from God on earth and the hearafter.

“We are Celebrating all Muslims in OAU which is Jihad week with theme; “Falling Rectitude; Muslim Youth On Call” that is scheduled between 30th October to 10th November with different activities.”

“Our visitation to FOMWAN Orphanage Home is part of week activities that we believe, it will also be of advantage to the lives of these orphanages. We have an unstable society due to the failure to give out to less privileged.”

However, Ameera of the Muslim Body in the institution, Basirah Basir charged the people to inculcate habit of giving no matter how small it is.

Basirah said “our Deen motivate us that whoever takes care of an orphan will be rewarded and this will bridge the gap between upper and lower class in the society.”

Similarly, the chairperson, FOMWAN, Alhaja Amudalahi Adewoyin implored the citizenry not to neglect orphanages in the society and see them as important people who can transform the nation.
