Osun APC House of Assembly Candidate Ogunkanmi, Congratulates Buhari, Seeks Constituents Support During March 9 Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate for Osun State House of Assembly, Ayedire State Constituency, Hon Gbenga Ogunkanmi has congratulated President Muhammad Buhari on his re-election victory in the Saturday’s presidential election.

Ogunkanmi in a congratulatory message he signed and made available to newsmen in Ile-Ogbo, the headquarters of Ayedire Local Government Area, on Friday described President Buhari’s victory as a well-deserved.

He noted that the performance of President Buhari within the space of three and half years earned him landslide victory, saying APC led government has performed superbly well in the areas of infrastructure, youth engagement and empowerment, job creation and welfare of the citizens among others .

He equally congratulated the two elected Osun senators , Engr Adelere Oriolowo and Dr Ajibola Basiru and all the federal house of representative candidates elects on the platform of the APC for their triumphant victory.

The Ileogbo born politician, who expressed profound appreciation to the people of the Ayedire state constituency for their support during the last Presidential and National Assembly elections, said he was so impressed by the turn out of his people during the polls.

The former Senior Special Assistant to the immediate past governor of Osun, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, urged the people of the state to come out en masses and cast their vote for all APC candidates during the March 9 state assembly election.

He noted that with the victory of APC at the federal level Nigerians should expect all round development, as the party was ready to take the country to the next level of greatness.

Also seeking for the support of the people of Ayedire, Ogunkanmi urged the electorate to come out on March 9 and cast their votes for him, promising to give them adequate representation.

Highlighting some of his achievement when he was the Executive Secretary, Ogunkanmi, said “When I was the caretaker chairman of Ayedire, I did my utmost best by extending electricity to suburbs, tarred roads, launched Ayedire Youth Empowerment Scheme (A-YES), revived agricultural tools for mechanize farming and many others.

“I did my best to protect and promote my family pedigree. With these, I’m not claiming perfection. I pledge to do more through virile legislation to bring government nearer and ensure Ayedire is not left out in dividends sharing.

“As a leader, uneasy lies my head. I may offend people and people do offend me. A true leader must appreciate the power in sorry even if you are right because we need everybody to achieve Ayedire of our dream. Accept my weakness and embrace my strength for better representation and legislation” he said
