Breaking: AGF Appoints Olateju Adunni As National Coordinator

A socio-political group, Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF) has ratified Comrade Olorungbebe Aduuni as its substantive National coordinator in Nigeria.

The AGF in a press statement issued by its National Secretary, Ibrahim Alli-Balogun , after the general meeting held at Dansaky Hotels & Suites, Oba Lambe bus stop Ijaye-Ojokoro, Lagos State on Saturday 29, 2019 announced Adunni as its new National Coordinator

It would be recalled that the position of National Coordinator of the AGF became vacant following the demisw of its former national coordinator, Otunba Adeleye Akintola.

According to the statement , “the AGF at the meeting resolved that the position of National Coordinator should be decided at the meeting after the demise of its late National Coordinator; Otunba Adeleye Akintola.

The statement further stated that three persons were nominated for the position.

Among the members of AGF that were initially nominated for the position are;
Alhaji Folawiyo Bello, Mr Ibrahim Alli-Balogun and Mr Olateju Olorungbebe were nominated.

Alhaji Folawiyo Bello and Mr Ibrahim Alli-Balogun according to the statement were later stepped down for Comrade Olateju Adunni Olorungbebe who emerged and was declared the substantive National Coordinator the foundation

“At the meeting of Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation National Executives Council Meeting held today 29th December, 2019 at Dansaky Hotels & Suites Oba Lambe bus stop Ijaye-Ojokoro, Lagos State which was attended by State Chapter Coordinator, Secretary, Woman Leader and PRO of Osun, Kwara, Ekiti, Akwa Ibom, Ondo, Ogun, FCT, and Members of National Executives.”

Congratulating the newly appointed National coordinator, a former National coordinator of the group, Comrade Ganiyu Shittu , commended the decision of the members of the group for choosing Adunni as the Coordinator.

Shittu who spoke to the new Coordinator immediately after he was declared described the emergence of Olateju Adunni as a well deserved.

Debunking the rumour making the round that he was being nominated as the new coordinator, the former Coordinator described the leaders that appointed Olateju Adunni as the real authentic members of the foundation, promising that he would use everything within his reach to support Olateju Adunni and ensure he achieve tremendously well.

Speaking during his confirmation,
Comrade Olateju Adunni thanked the group members for the support and trust they reposed in him.

He also pledged to continue to serve the group wholeheartedly in his capacity as national coordinator.

To all the national executives council of Asiwaju Grassroot Foundation I say Solidarity greetings to you all.

It is my greatest delight this day for your trust, confidence and faith you bestowed in me as the National Coordinator of this Organisation. With all the opportunities and challenges that come with my acceptance to serve us all as the National Coordinator, I am of the belief that this journey will not be a smooth ride one if I am to walk it alone: however, we thank our Mentor Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu that recognizes the importance of Youths and building more Leaders as it is through this all inclusive toothlage and mentorship. Today we have move with the cerebral of knowledge and understanding couple with the dedication into progressive family , we know that success is becone.
Let me take this opportunity to acknowledge the tremendous and adorable initiatives that were undertaken by the previous leadership of this Great Organisation Indeed you are an inspiration and motivators, today I challenge all the members across the globe to specially take this new task and assignment of electioneering campaigns next year as our major priority.

We are going to improve on our programs of sensitization such as Symposiums, rallies, seminars and lobby to press further our programs and project so as to engage the government and our members across the state of the federation.
these great works must began immediately, I am certain that this team that we have shall continue from where late Otunba Adeleye stopped, we shall even do much better because I have faith in this team.To our members who depend so much on us, we shall deliver our aims and objectives. The journey to great hight just begins.
