Senator Adeleke Joins Osun Guber Race, Vows To Rescue State From Its Current Challenges

The Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Sen. Ademola Adeleke, on Wednesday declared his intention to contest for the governorship election in the forthcoming guber poll.

Adeleke who had earlier made his intention known in a letter written and recently submitted to the state Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osogbo, described the declaration of his intention to run for the coveted position as sacrosanct to rescue the state from the present quagmire.

The PDP governorship aspirant who stormed the party secretariat with hundreds of his supporters, affirmed that he is contesting to champion the scourge of unemployment in the state if elected governor.

Adeleke posited that youths employment would be the focal point of his administration, the move he described as a sustainable panacea to socioeconomic challenges confronting the state.

He promised to do everything humanly possible to advance education sector while emergency would also be declared to revamp agriculture sector if voted.

Enumerating some of his achievements since assumption of office, Adeleke said he had empowered his constituents, saying over 250 million scholarship had been given to students in the senatorial district.

Senator Adeleke expressed ‎confidence in his ability to govern the state by building on the good legacies left behind by his Late elder brother, Isiaka Adeleke.

He said , ” I have the ability to galvanise electorate towards ensuring a remarkable victory in the coming Osun gubernatorial race.”

Adeleke further called on all party faithful to respect party supremacy, stresing that the gesture would help in promoting peace and unity in the party.

He‎ vowed to support whosoever that emerge victorious in the party’s primaries.

Urging the leadership of PDP to give him the opportunity to fly the party’s flag in the forthcoming election, Adeleke assured the party’s victory with his candidature.

He therefore charged electorate who are yet to get their PVCs to do so.
