Oyo Speaker Tasks Electorate On PVCs, Voting Right

The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Olagunju Ojo has called on eligible voters in the state who are yet to collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards, PVCs,  to get their unclaimed cards on time, saying it is the only means of voting for candidates of their choice in the next general elections.
Right Hon Ojo made this call in Ikoyi-Ile during a general meeting of the All Progressives Congress APC in the area, stressing that any voter who fails to collect his/her PVC would be disenfranchised during the 2019 general elections.
He disclosed that the ongoing Continuous Voters  Registration, CVR, offers Eligible Voters the veritable opportunity of registering for their PVCs.
He called on all local government chairmen in the area to beef up sensitization so as to improve people’s participation in the political process.
The Speaker who was on a visit to Ogbomoso after addressing the APC Meeting at Ikoyi Ile later featured on a live radio programme at Parrot FM.
On the programme, the  Number One legislator in the state reiterated that the Oyo State House of Assembly will not relent in making laws that will improve the living standard of the people.
Hon Ojo who solicited support for Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s administration said the APC is working round the clock to move the state to its pace setter status.
According to him, the development of Oyo State cannot be left in the hands of government alone hence the need for them to fulfil their obligations to the state.
