Osun Youths Parley With Governorship Candidates, Make Demands

As part of preparation towards the September 22 governorship election in Osun state, Kimpact Development Initiative (KDI) have parleyed with some of the governorship candidates across different parties and made demands that should form some of their core policies and programmes when elected.
The Kimpact Development Initiative (KDI) and “Vote Not Fight’’ urged the candidates to focus more on education, employment, health, agriculture and poverty alleviation.
At a parley held in Osogbo, Osun state capital on Tuesday, the Executive Director of Kimpact Development Initiative {KDI}, Bukola Idowu, stated that youths in the state are interested in electing candidate’s that would incorporate their demands to his manifestoes.
She said, ‘’it is the desire of Osun youth to vote into power and reelect only candidate who would incorporate these demands as part of their campaign manifestoes and take measurable steps to implement them once elected.”
“Osun youth would not bring the discussion on youth priority issue as captured in this agenda to a close after the 2018 governorship election.” She added.
It is expected that this agenda would stimulate conversation’s among osun youth’s on youth inclusion, decision making, governance and service delivery in the state.
