Addressing newsmen in Osogbo, the state capital on Monday, he described what some people called a high number of gubernatorial aspirants in the Party as the beauty of democracy globally.

He added that as an aspirant is being motivated by the need to serve his people by harnessing the state’s human, mineral and natural resources to improve their lives.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria who described the APC as a democratic party expressed his confidence in its ability to conduct a free, fair and credible primary election on July 7, where an acceptable candidate would emerge to fly the Party’s flag in the main poll.

Dr. Saka Layonu SAN who said all the aspirants of the Party are resourceful individuals stressed that he will emerge by the grace of God and the support of the people as the candidate to fly the Party’s banner in the September 22 election, based on what he described as overwhelming support that has greeted his aspiration.

He said, “My aspiration is people oriented, I belong to them and I’m going to form the people’s government by the grace of God.”

“I don’t have any power of my own; the strength of my aspiration is the symbol of my political group ‘Agbajoowo’ which is a group within our great Party indicating that we can achieve virtually anything by working together to make Osun greater.”

The Ede born politician who is a top supporter of the popular ‘Osun West Agenda’ pointed out that the APC led government in the State has executed numerous projects among which are the classical school structures built across the State, school feeding programme, construction of roads and other infrastructure as well as several projects towards human development and capacity building.

Saka-Layonu explained that the projects must be handed over to a government that understands development by voting for our Party in the forthcoming election in September to maintain the executed projects and put other vital ones in place.
