Gen. Akinrinade gave the disclosure in Akure, Ondo state capital at the first anniversary celebration of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state.

According to him, the movie is full of abject cruelty of the highest order saying ” is of barbarity edged by those we elected or select to give us governance”.

Akinrinade who was the Chairman of the occassion however noted that the clock has started tickling again to the periodic bloody ritual of elections without electorates.

His words, ” or how do we rationalise the INEC admitting recently that they were registering hoards of toddlers for election in the northern part of Nigeria on the pains of death.

“Herdsmen have been on the rampage for several months now, killing, maiming, raping, burning, kidnapping, name it, all the hallmark of those who never exited the animal farm.

“It was recently, when our President was called out as the patron of his kinsmen ,the herdsmen, that letters of complaints and its denials between the Federal executive, the police and governors in distress started circulating that he gave a feeble, unclear, half hearted order to stop the carnage.

“Let us allow history to deliver its verdict after many more have died, but I am certainly tired and ashamed of being classified as a barbarian”.

The guest Lecturer at the occasion, Prof. Akin Oyebode remarked that for the nation to move forward, it has to forget ethnic bias but rather seek people with better ideologies as leaders.

According to him, the leader is as good as people that surround him, adding that, the people must be ready to send a non performing leader packing at any time.

He however urged the electorates to always retrace their steps the moment they make a wrong choice since they will always have the oportunity to make another choice at the expiration of their tenures.

Oyebode said, “The pernicious and callous aggression by Fulani herdsmen across the country should serve as a wake-up call to all men and women of goodwill and humanitarian disposition on the necessity for peaceful cohabitation among Nigerians.

“It is only when law is applied without distinction that the country can be said to be making progress on its journey towards nationhood”
