Osun APC Leaders, Monarch Declare Support For Federal House of Representatives Aspirant

Members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Iwo Federal Constituency, Osun state, on Saturday pledged their support to the House of Representatives aspirant from the constituency, Chief Diekola Ismail Adefowope (DIA), ahead of the 2019
election.

The party members, including the chairmen of the three local government Areas in the constituency, said they had unanimously endorsed Adefowope because of his love for the people of the constituency.

The Iwo Local government APC Chairman, Mr Semiu Ayofe made this known during the public declaration of Adefowope’s intention to represent the people of Iwo federal constituency at the Federal House of Representative, National Assembly Abuja

Ayofe who spoke on behalf of the two other Chairmen in the three local governments of the constituency, said Adefowope has contributed immensely to the development of the constituency and the people of the state hence the need to support his aspiration.

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdul Rasheed Akanbi in his own remarks said he had come to noticed that Adefowope have the interest of the peoples in mind, equally eulogizing him for giving back to the society through empowerment programmes.

Oba Akanbi commended Adefowope for relieving the burden of Iwo indigenes in his gifted capacity, also commending his wife for being a pillar of support to his aspiration.

According to Oluwo “You garnered wealth outside and spend it in Iwo. You have converted many from witch to affluent because witchery is poverty. Your empowerment programmes have rescued many of my subjects from street of uselessness.

” You have a special case because of the acknowledgement I received from people. Whatever you do is a service to my stool because you relief my burden in serving my subjects. It is rare to launch millions naira empowerment when you are not in government. Your compassion is a challenge to the politicians. Why you claimed you are emulating me, I will recommend that politicians should take a queue from you as well”

“I also commend your better half for gearing your generosity. Only a few allow husbands to spend so generously. I’ve a bitter experience while vying for this stool. You will achieve yours without much ado”

Speaking Oluomo Adefowope who sought the support of the APC stakeholders and party members to clinch the ticket, promised them an all inclusive representation through quality and qualitative legislation in education, infrastructural facilities, empowerments, job employments etc to improve standard of living.

He said he would give adequate representation if given the opportunity to serve, saying he believed so much in the development of constituency and the entire state.

While appreciating people of the constituency and the Paramount monarch, Oba Akanbi, Adefowope said his service to humanity is in emulation of Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi.

Adefowope, who disclosed he grew up from Iwo before his sojourn overseas stated Oluwo’s commitment to improve the city motivated him to be more frequent at home few years back.

Adefowope vowed to complement the works of the Oluwo in raising the hope of the good people of Iwo Federal Constituency.

“I grew up here in Iwo for my elementary educations. I was a mechanic apprentice before I left to further my education. I’m a core home bake and now a business man. Despite my sojourn overseas, I visit home regularly and contribute my quarters to her greatness” Adefowope

It could be recalled that Adefowope recently disbursed an empowerment facilities worth oo N10 million to his constituents in which the Federation of Iwoland Students Union (FILSU) received a vehicle as donation.

Present at the event are the APC leader in Iwo federal constituency, Alhaji Gafaru Alani, Chairman Olaoluwa local government, Akinyooye Ismail and his counterpart from Ayedire local government, Olubori Rasheed, Market men and women, students, among others
