Ahead of the Sept. 22 governorship election in Osun, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, Hon Ismail Adefowope has urged residents of the state to vote for Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, the All Progressives (APC) candidate in the interest of continuity.

Adefowope made the plea in a statement he signed and made available to journalists on Saturday in Osogbo.

The Federal House of Representatives aspirant for Iwo Federal Constituency said, that the APC led administration had laid a good foundation that required a competent and intelligent person to build on.

He urged the electorate to disregard the antics of opposition parties which he said might undermine electoral principles and democratic processes during the election.

The Oluomo of FEESU enjoined people of Osun , especially residents of Iwo Federal Constituency to come out en mass and cast their vote for APC so as to continue to reap dividends of democracy in the state.

Speaking on why members of APC should work for the sustainability of good governance, Adefowope said what Governor Rauf Aregbesola has accomplished within the space of seven and half years cannot be underestimated.

“I want to appeal to the people of Osun, especially residents of Iwo federal constituency to work for the victory of our great party (APC ) so as to show our support for the unquantifiable and laudable achievements of Governor Rauf Aregbesola in the last seven and half years.”

“Aregbesola has performed superbly well in the area of social and infrastructural development.”

“As a matter of fact, apart from the massive road construction which cut across every nook and cranny of the state, building of state-of-the-art classrooms, employment of over 40,000 youths under the youths empowerment scheme popularly known as OYES, free meals for our pupils, monthly stipend for the aged people among other laudable programmes, the APC led government has also done well in terms of restoration of good health care in the state.”

“Alhaji Goyega Oyetola, would continue with Argbesola’s initiatives if elected. He would create jobs for the youths as well as ensure affordable and quality health care.”

The House of representatives hopeful however urged those who are yet to collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to get them so as not to be disenfranchised.
