A sociopolitical group in Osun state, G-83 has joined millions of well-wishers in congratulating the Governor of the State, Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola and his deputy, Benedict Adegboyega Alabi (BOA), as assumed the mantle of leadership.

In a congratulatory message issued by the group’s publicity secretary, Mr Alao Waheed, a copy which was made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo, on Monday, expressed optimism that the new governor would build on the progress of his predecessor.

G-83 opined that the good work of the former Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola which it said has changed the face of the state, his unprecedented developmental projects, good people of the state, as well as party members and supporters who demonstrated their commitments, loyalty and sacrifice made it possible for APC to emerge victorious in the keen contest which produced Gboyega Oyetola and his deputy.

In the release, the G-83 Coordinator, Hon Mohammed Moruf congratulated the people of Osun for displaying unalloyed support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in their various polling units and for comporting themselves peacefully and orderly throughout during Sept 22 guber poll and the rerun election.

He eulogized leaders and members in the Progressive camp for their hard fought victory, saying the outcome of the election has vividly shown that APC remains the most popular political party in Osun and Nigeria at large.

“With governor Oyetola’s wealth of experience in multinational companies, as a brilliant administrator, there is no doubt that he would take the State of Osun to the promised land.

He enjoined the entire people of the state to support the APC-led administration irrespective of party affiliations for the betterment of citizenry and generation to come”.

According to him, “people of the state of Osun should be rest assured that Oyetola and BOA will take Osun to the greater heights as youth empowerment, women empowerment, workers welfarism, food security, job creations and unusual developmental projects would be experienced in all nooks and crannies of Osun in no distant time”.

He therefore appealed to party members and supporters to double their loyalty and unalloyed support to the party and start working on how to convincingly win the general election.
