Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State and runner up in the party primaries on Friday played host to Senator Ademola Adeleke, the governorship candidate of the PDP.
Dr Akin Ogunbiyi had invited all his supporters across the state to brief them on the outcomes of the Abuja reconciliation meeting, midway into the meeting, Senator Demola Adeleke arrived with his entourage.
Receiving the party standard bearer at his residence in Ile-Ogbo in Ayedire local government area of the state on Friday, Ogunbiyi noted that Ademola’s victory is PDP’s victory.
Dr. Ogunbiyi encouraged his supporters to vote for the PDP in the coming election noting that the march for a better Osun and Nigeria had begun.
In his response, Senator Ademola thanked Dr. Ogunbiyi for his magnanimity and resolve to bury the past in the interest of the party and Osun people. He promised to do everything to keep the party united as they march to victory
Also, the state chairman of the party, Hon. Soji Adagunodo showered encomium on the leaders, especially Dr. Ogunbiyi for putting the interest of the party first.
“I thank God and the leadership of the PDP. I am grateful to all women and youths in the party for your love, support and cooperation,” Ogunbiyi remarked.
