Plateau State Participates in NITDA Conference

The Plateau State government is participating in the annual Information and Communication Technology conference popularly called “Nigeria”.
The states Commissioner for Science and Technology, Hon. Dan Manjang who led the state’s delegation to the conference confirmed this in a press release personally issued and signed by him on Tuesday, a copy which was received by City Mirror News.
The theme for 2018 edition was, “Promoting Digital Technology In An Era Of Disruptive Technologies Through Effective Regulation”. The program is holding at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
According to the release, “The 3 days conference organised by the National Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (NITDA), was declared open yesterday by the President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari who was accompanied to the event by some members of the Federal Executive Council.”
According to Manjang, the very important feature on the global tech calendar was “coming weeks after the Plateau Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (PICTDA) was signed into law by the Captain of the Rescue Team, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, eNigeria2018 offers the State an invaluable opportunity to consolidate on the strides of the State in the ICT sector.”
The Commissioner said that presentations at the conference are “eyes opening and challenging”.
