A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and one of the leading aspirants in the upcoming gubernatorial election in Osun, Dr Ismail Saka-Layonu on Monday said the welfare of workers and all those who serve the state with dedication would be at the forefront under his watch if elected.
Layonu who is an aspirant, contesting on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) said he would build on the legacy of the current administration and improved on the area yet to be fully actualised.
The governorship hopeful spoke at the state party Secretariat while declaring his intention to contest the governorship election in the state.
He said he believed with the natural resources at the disposal of the state if well harnessed it could build a state where rewards for hard work are seen in real time.
Saka-Layonu noted that with his perception about the state, shaped by past experiences, expectations and current circumstances, his administration would be one of knowledge-based, competence, discipline and integrity, as well as come up with more effective strategies to ensure everyone in the state reap the fruit of their labours.
He further explained that his blueprint will give him the opportunity to continue the developmental programmes of Aregbesola, saying Aregbesola has performed tremendously well in terms of infrastructural development, hence the need for him to build on it.
According to him “The only way to appreciate Aregbesola for his selfless service in Osun is for the people of the to vote for APC. APC is a party that has good plan for youths and entire people of the state.
“We need a leader who will build on the legacy of the current administration and improved on the area yet to be fully actualised.”

“A leader who will serve with utmost humanity, integrity, fairness, good faith and fear of God.
He assured the youth that his adminstration would efficiently allocate resources to ensure they are adequately empowered.
“Our youth are blessed with energy, dreams, ideas , ideals and talents which are capable of bringing great fortunes to the state. Under my watch, the government shall do every thing within it powe to bring out the best in them for the benefit of our state”, he added.
He urged the citizens to act consciously by choosing him as the governor so as to make osun greater.
Speaking, the state party Chairman, Goyega Famodun described the aspirant as a selfless being adding that he has always made himself available anytime the party has legal issues and rendering his services free of charge at any period in time.
He assured him they all would be given a level playing ground to contest and hopes the best emerged among the aspirants.
