Popularly called Ifa, Raji was arraigned alongside Tiamiyu Kabiru (27) before a Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun state capital on Friday.

Kabiru who was charged for receiving a stolen Samsung DVD of the deceased, was however, admitted to bail in the sum of N50, 000 and two sureties.

Briefing the court, police prosecutor, Inspector Mireti Wilson told the court that Raji was charged for conspiracy and murder while Kabiru was arraigned on one court charge of receiving stolen property of the deceased from one Elijah Oyebode.

Wilson further explained that the accused persons committed the alleged offence on 23 December, 2016 at Egbeda in Iragbiji, Osun State.

The two accused persons, according to the prosecutor, had committed some offences contrary to and punishable under Section 427, 324 and 319 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.

While Kabiru pleaded not guilty to the one count charge, the plea of the herbalist was not taken because the magistrate court lacks jurisdiction to hear murder case.

Counsel to Kabiru, Mr Ngwoke K E urged the court to grant him bail in the most liberal term.

In her ruling, Magistrate Habibat Basiru granted bail to Kabiru and ordered Raji to be remanded at Ilesa Prison Custody.

She directed the police to duplicate the case file of the first accused person and forward it to the office of Directorate of Public Prosecution DPP, for legal advice.

She, thereafter, transferred the case to court 4 where the sister case is pending.
