JAPP is the one of the grandsons of PA J.O. Fawole, the popular and dedicated choirmaster of St. Peters Cathedral Church, Aremo Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
He was born in the 1980s and had his primary and secondary education in Ibadan. He later proceeded to study Business Education at St. Andrews College of Education, Oyo state. Being an educator and someone who is educationally oriented, JAPP proceeded with his educational career at Tai Solarin University of Education (The Premier University of Education) where he bagged a Second Class Honours in Business Education (Accounting).
JAPP has been in music since his NCE days at the St. Andrews College of Education but wasn’t active because of his educational career. As they say “there is no smoke without fire”, JAPP as a father rekindled his interest in music because the content of songs dominating the airwaves today are too lewd and not rated for all ages especially children. In contrast to what many people may think, he said and I quote “being a father, I care about the content of music my children listen to, I don’t care if I make it big in music or not but it will be on record that I’m not among those artiste that compromise morals and standard for money and fame”. JAPP blend/genre of music is African Hip Hop Urban Contemporary Gospel.
Lastly, JAPP is a very shy young man who is not interested in fame or attention; this is the exact reason he didn’t use his pictures on his previous music covers. He is signed to “JappRecords” co-owned by him and his brother MideMrPossible. He is married to Oluwaseun and blessed with amazing children.
