The Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation, AGF has blasted the Osun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, over series of false allegation against the administration of Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

The group berated PDP’s leadership in the state for being deaf and blind to myriads of developments and progresses made by Aregbesola’s administration in the last six years in office, saying the party leaders are suffering from illusions.

The Foundation also flayed over the unscrupulous character of some PDP’s leaders in the state who according to the Foundation accused Aregbesola for diverting the state treasury to fund the electioneering campaign of the gubernatorial candidate of the Alliance for Democracy, AD, Olusola Oke.

The Foundation described PDP as a drown party that is seeking safety by all items on the water surface, saying PDP has been buried since 2015 general elections in Nigeria.

AGF made the statement in a release made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Adeboye Adebayo.

The Foundation however described Governor Aregbesola as a welfarist and man of the people whom every other person wants to associate with for different reasons.

Adebayo said, “Each time I read anything about PDP in the national dailies, I get confused because I don’t know PDP anymore. I do ask myself rhetoric questions that are they talking of Sheriff versus Markafi PDP or Adagunodo versus Faforiji.

“As far as I know, Osun PDP is dead and buried since August 2014 while PDP in Nigeria is dead and buried in 2015.

“How can such dead party makes a serious allegation and it will be worthy of publishing? Which of the four factions does Osun PDP Publicity Secretary, Diran Odeyemi belongs to?

“Dead PDP will not see massive schools with all educational facilities built by Aregbesola in the last six years which has breached the education gap between the rich and the poor.

“It is unfortunate that PDP did not see the comparison between the state of development when the party was in power to the present transformations made by APC governments.

“There is no doubt that PDP and its loyalists had failed to see the old railway station in Osogbo to new Nelson Mandela park constructed by Aregbesola’s government in the state capital.

“Both PDP leadership and followership are blind to see the ongoing construction of Osogbo East-bypass dual-carriage road named after late Ooni of Ife, Oba Adesoji Aderemi among other developmental projects.

Adebayo therefore urged the media not allow the dead party (PDP) to use its noble platforms to cause disaffection in APC.
