The Nigeria Police Force, Osun Command, on Tuesday paraded five armed robbery suspects and presented two stolen vehicles recovered from the suspects to the general public.

The suspects are: Adetunji Ismaila (25), Raheem Kabiru (26), Adeyemo Azeez 25, Raimi Kabiru and Ojo Aina.

The Commissioner of Police, Olafimihan Adeoye, while parading the suspects at the police headquarters, Osogbo, Osun state capital, disclosed that a total number of nine stolen vehicles were recovered between the month of September to date.

According to Adeoye, items recovered from the suspects include: one black Toyota Corolla Car with Reg. No. SMK 565 DB, One Toyota Camry with Reg. No. EKY 628 EA, Man Diesel Truck with Reg. NO. TKP 599 XA, Toyota Corolla S/Car with Reg. NO. BKN 306 AA.

Others are: Mazda 626 Saloon Car with Reg. NO. AG 746 JJS, Toyota Sienna Space Bus with REG. NO. AWK 70 XJ, Mazda 636 Car with REG NO. DF 986 EKY, Mazda 626 with REG. NO. AE 815 ANG, Toyota Corolla S/CAR with REG. NO. APP 902 DJ, Nissan Almera with REG. NO. FKJ 105 AR.

One Plasma TV, two HP laptop computers, three ATM cards, two Laptop Computers, cash sum of N84,000, one Samsung galaxy 34 valued N35,000 and one Nokia phone valued N4,500, among others were also recovered.

Adeoye, however, informed journalists that the suspects had made useful statement to the investigative team, adding that effort to get other fleeing suspects arrested is being intensified.

He stated that the police shall maintain the tempo and appreciate the continuous support of members of the public in order to drastically reduce criminal activities in all nooks and crannies of the State.

Fielding questions from journalists, one of the suspected armed robbers, Raheem Kabiru  disclosed that he had been to the prison custody for two times.

Kabiru who hails from Ifon, Orolu Local Government of Osun state said he was arrested and convicted to prison in 2011 and 2014 respectively for the same robbery offence.

He pleaded for leniency and vowed not to engaged in such dastardly act ever in his life.
