Osun Assembly Congratulates Speaker Over PH.DP

Members of the State of Osun House of Assembly have congratulated the Speaker, RT. Honourable Najeem Folasayo Salam on the successful completion of Doctor of Philosophy P. HD in Political Science from the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile Ife.

According to a statement issued by the Chairman, House Committee on Information and Strategy, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, the honourable members jointly congratulated the Speaker and described the feat as a giant stride and inspiration for many.

The parliamentarians who acknowledged that PHD is the highest academic and research degree in a university commended the speaker for the passion, creativity, persistence and perseverance demonstrated to bag the degree.

The Assembly pointed that the speaker has consciously added another feather to his crown of achievements saying that he proved that he is tough enough intellectually to embark on the rigorous academic exercise without losing steam in spite of his state duty as No 1 lawmaker in Osun state.
They opined that the academic attainment will rob of on the leadership role of the speaker even for future political engagement.

The house maintained that obviously the process must have left indelible experience and impact in the life of the speaker, as he had made the world better through his thesis, research and contribution to the field of knowledge.

They stressed that the feat is a plus not only to the speaker but an indication that the assembly is made up of excellent lawmakers who have appetite for learning and development

As they joined friends, families and associates of the speaker to celebrate the achievement, they urged Nigerians, especially young ones to emulate virtues of determination exhibited by Honourable Najeem Salam.
