The Gospel Musicians Association of Nigeria (GOMAN) members have elected Evangelist Dr. Olufunmilayo Aragbaiye as the National President of the association for another term alongside other new members of the executive at their National Congress and Election held at Abeokuta in Ogun state recently.
This was disclosed in a Press Statement issued and made available to CityMirrorNews on Sunday by the newly elected Public Relation Officer, PRO of the association, Evangelist Elizabeth Bankole Olubunmi, a.k.a. Asiiriwura.
According to the statement, the National President while reading her acceptance speech at the well conducted and crisis free election appreciated all members of the GOMAN across the country for their unflinching and unalloyed support to her and other members of the Exco, saying she would not relent in pursuing the betterment of the association in all ramifications.
Dr Aragbaiye said, “We are all winners in this election because this is a gathering of General’s children of God, the Holy people of God.
No looser among us as we are all winners. GOMAN fought the battle of backwardness, retardant, and yearning to move forward after a successful tenure to another greater level. So, we all won the battle”.
“We need to rejoice as been one in the victory and not as if we defeat anyone, because we cannot defeat ourselves, we can only defeat our enemies, She said.
Dr Aragbaiye who promised to do more in her second term tenure, enjoined members of the executive and all members of the association across board to demonstrate their support to her as she cannot do it alone without them.
She appreciated the Almighty God for guiding and always be on their side as well as the Gospel Musicians Association of Nigeria Electoral Committee, GOMANEC, under the Chairman, Rev’d Oladejo Isaiah Kayode and Secretary, Rev’d Fayehun Oloruntoba among other members of the Electoral committee, for conducting a matured and peaceful election.
The GOMAN President however charged other members of the executive to be up and doing and join her in moving the association to the greater height not only in Nigeria but globally.
The names of the newly elected GOMAN National officers that would pilot the affairs of the association for another term includes, Evangelist Dr Funmi Aragbaiye, President, Rev’d Ekpeyong Bassey-Okon, Deputy President, Prophet Oluwaseun Oluwatunbi, Vice President for West, Evang Hon Paul Ayodele, Vice President, North, Rev’d Canon Gboyega Babayeju, General Secretary and Evang Tope Ade, Assistant General Secretary.
Other newly elected officers were, Evang Flourish Arowolo, Treasurer, Evang Mrs Bunmi Bankole, Public Relations Officer, PRO, Evang Kolawole Elijah, Internal Auditor, Evang Dr Stella Adeniyi Ajayi, Prayer Coordinator, Pastor Tunde Ayodele -Welfare Officer 1, and Evang Sunday Ogayemi, Welfare Officer 2.
