He explained that Kareem, also known as Abija, lured a rice seller from Saki in Oyo to Osogbo, in May 2017, employed some hoodlums to dispossess him of his goods and money, and later killed him, and cut off his head for ritual purpose.
He added that the police also arrested five persons in connection with the killing, adding that Kareem, and other arrested suspects would be charged to court after the completion of police investigation on their matter.
In the same vein, Adeoye paraded six suspected highway robbers (dressed in military uniforms), saying that the robbers had been terrorizing and robbing motorists, along Ife-Ilesa expressway in the state.
He stressed that the suspects were arrested at the scene of operation by the police on Monday night, with the assistance of local vigilantes.
The CP disclosed that through police investigation, it was discovered that the arrested robbers were all from Lagos and that after robbing motorists in Osun, they usually return to their base, most times leaving the police in the state of confusion.
