CAC Pastor Arrested Over Alleged Fraud In Ondo

Pastor Abiodun Adeniyi James, Founder, Christ Apostolic Church, (Solution Centre) Freedom City International, Akure Branch, No 7 Gbogi Street, Akure has been arrested for fraud.

Pastor James was arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo State for allegedly defrauding one Mrs Folasade Olukinni of N1.7million with a promise to secure a visa for her son to the United States of America since February, 2018.

Ondo NSCDC Commandant, Mr. Awili Pedro disclosed this while parading the suspect before newsmen on Wednesday in Akure.

He also said that another woman, claimed that one Ademola Kolawole through the suspect got N4.2million from her in other to liberate her son from evil spiritual that had been tormenting her son since early this year.

Luck however ran out of Pastor James, according to the NSCDC boss when complaints were lodged from various Youths claiming that the Pastor promised to secure Immigration jobs for them for various charges ranging from between N4 million to N5 million.

However, both Ademola Kolawole and Pastor James claimed innocent of those allegations levelled against them even though the suspect affirmed the fact that he got just N250,000 from an individual whose name he refused to mention.

NSCDC boss while revealing how the suspect use to carry out his hand work said, “One Prophet James Abiodun Adeniyi, founder CAC Freedom City International No 7 Gbogi Street Akure, “Earlier this year, brought a man to the Church named Olamilekan Omole and introduced him to the congregation as his Personal Assistant, later he introduced the same man as Traveling Agent that whoever wanted to travel abroad should contact him.

“Alongside, one woman, Folasade Olukinni now went to the Prophet that one of her children wanted to travel abroad and that she needed his prayer, the suspect later told the woman that he has one geneiue traveling agent he want to introduce to her. The suspect now introduced his PA to the woman saying that he is not a fake traveling agent.

“The traveling process started in which the woman paid N1.7million to his account and since then his PA has ran away”.

Pedro however vowed to rid the state of criminals and promised that the suspect would soon be charge to court.
